Anthony Braxton '16

Marketing major & philosophy minor

“We are all benefiting from something that somebody else did for us.”

Anthony Braxton, known as “Braxton” to many, is a rising junior who understands the importance of contributing to the life of WVU. From his involvement with the WVU Student Government Association (SGA) to his mentoring fellow students in the Male Achievement Network program (special initiative under the purview of the Center for Black Culture and Research), Braxton clearly recognizes the value of collaboration.

Braxton holds a deep appreciation for donor support, as well as, recognizing that without the scholarship he received—the William and Jean Swales Scholarship—he wouldn’t have access to the valuable WVU experiences from which he has benefitted for the last two years.

“Meet Braxton” and learn about the many ways he stays engaged with others on campus by watching excerpts from his video interview. After hearing his remarks, you will understand why he is so driven to push himself to become better every day.
